I didn't have any luck prospecting but i went over an old patch with the smallest coil i have and found more gold that i missed with the bigger coils.
I found 65 nuggets for a total weight of 13.3 grams.
On one of the days i heard a car heading towards me and as i was working next to a track i decided to head for the bushes as you don't want people to see you getting gold and as i was running i ran through a massive Orb spider web, if you could have seen me you would have had a great laugh, lucky for me the car didnt head down my track haha. cheers Stu

Hi Stu, this sounds funny as and yes i do wish i was there to have seen that lol... been trying a few times to post a comment on here so hopefully this one works and u don't end up getting 10 slightly different versions of this same comment haha. Hope the bush is treating you well ... mia
ReplyDeleteG,day Mia, these spiders are massive and their web is like running through a net instead of a web, they are so strong when walking under them you can lift them up like walking under a vollyball net and when you get caught up in one its panick stations haha.
ReplyDeleteArrrrrggghhhh that just makes me cringe! Have fun with all the creepy crawlies out there then... how much longer do you plan on prospecting?
ReplyDeleteIm making a quick 2 week trip back for Mons graduation, then mid October im coming back until march next year as i wont be able to stand another summer here with temps hiting 49c,i will have to look for some work and im buying another detector, this one will be a coin a relic detector, great for finding coins and jewlery in the parks or down the beach.
