dr charles laver who rode his bicycle 450ks from coolgardie to prospect for gold and helped develop the laverton hospital, the town is named after him.
the local pub where the local indiginous hang out front.
the roundabout with fake grass, and below is looking up main street towards the roundabout.
pub and cop shop on the right and post office and centrlink on the left.

    How can you have a hospital with no doctors :S id hate for something to happen to me if i lived there!!

    the soil is so red there. The town doesnt look to bad but i definately would NOT want to be a police officer there. they get paid alot more in NT and WA so ive heard.

    what do you do when your not gold detecting in the town? can you go fishing here? is this a stupid question? is there any rivers or lakes or is it really dry.

      there is nothing to do here except go gold detecting,the soil is very red and its everywhere, there are no rivers anywhere here, after heavy rain the creeks flood and they close all the roads until they dry up which doesnt take long, the water drains into salt lakes and then evaporates, most rain falls during summer,the closest rivers are about 800 ks away.the drinking water is pumped all the way from perth and there is water pumped from deep underground.
